Control data use
Video can consume substantial mobile data, especially at higher quality. Use system data controls and lower stream quality when available.
On a small screen, reopen the address bar after every new tab, player launch, or full-screen transition. The access guide helps verify the expected hostname, and the safety checklist covers permissions that should remain unnecessary for ordinary recorded-video browsing on a current mobile browser. Repeat the check after returning from full screen because browser chrome may collapse again.
Keep the session private
Review history, downloads, saved passwords, notifications, and synced tabs on shared devices. Private mode limits local history but does not make activity invisible.
Playback quality and data use are separate decisions. The video-quality guide explains adaptive delivery and catalogue labels, while the privacy notice distinguishes this guide's request boundary from the cookies, analytics, accounts, and storage controlled by an outbound destination after a visitor leaves.
Treat overlays separately
A prompt to install an app, allow notifications, or open another service is not required merely because it appears over a player.
Before finishing, check download lists, restored tabs, browser history, notification grants, saved credentials, casting targets, media libraries, backups, and synchronized devices. Private mode can reduce some local history, but it does not prevent the destination, network, account services, or device-level features from processing or exposing activity.
Field checklist
- Check mobile-data limits before starting high-quality playback.
- Review synced history, downloads, and notifications when the device is shared.
- Dismiss overlays before deciding whether a request belongs to the player.
